DR. ANDREW BISACCIA, DPT

Andrew earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Santa Barbara and his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from Chapman University. After obtaining his graduate degree, Andrew completed a year-long manual therapy course based on Kaiser’s residency program. This course was designed to improve proficiency with the application of evidence based manual examination, evaluation and treatment of orthopaedic impairments, functional limitations and disabilities.
Andrew is a certified Neurac suspension-exercise therapist by the Norwegian-based company Redcord and is currently in the process of becoming a board certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. Andrew is a Functional Movement Systems (FMS) Certified Exercise Professional and has experience in a number of clinical settings including orthopaedic private practice, acute inpatient physical therapy, long-term rehabilitative care, as well as home-based physical therapy. Along with his staff physical therapist position at Hayashida and Associates Physical Therapy Inc., Andrew is an independent contractor for Brian Wilson Physical Therapy treating patient/clients in their homes. Andrew periodically consults with sports teams at Westmont College completing screens to rule out serious pathology while developing a pro-active intervention for athletes.
Besides his clinical practice, Andrew is the Continuing Education Coordinator at Hayashida and Associates, the main contributing writer and editor of the Hayashida and Associates Physical Therapy Blog, and a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), California Physical Therapy Association (CPTA), and the Sports Physical Therapy Section (SPTS).
