SABRINA BELL-BONADEO, LPTA, CPT
E-mail: terra.aqua.moves@verizon.net
Sabrina's most important professional goal is to teach all patients and clients that the foundation for healing and higher fitness comes from integrating conscious, consistent breathing with balanced active movement. Her unique experiences in rehabilitation, Pilates, dance, and aquatics have helped define this professional goal.
Sabrina received her Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education at San Francisco State University where she also received a minor in Holistic Health. After suffering from sciatica and shoulder girdle dysfunction, Sabrina was prescribed Pilates rehabilitation from St. Francis Hospital's Dance and Sport Orthopedic Clinic. Sabrina continued training in the Pilates method for two additional years post-therapy. In 1989, Sabrina traveled to New York City's Evolving Arts Studio to study Lynn Simonson's modern-jazz dance. After suffering an ankle injury, her desire to stay active took her to water where she practiced all of her dance moves in slow motion, unaware of the healing effects of hydrotherapy. Sabrina returned to dancing in greater condition than before her injury, and this experience inspired her to teach water fitness in health clubs. She received her certification through both the Aquatic Exercise Association and The Arthritis Association.
In 1999, Sabrina received her Physical Therapy Assistantship California license, and in 2002, she finalized her Pilates training certification with the Bay Area's Integrated Teacher Training Program.
In addition to her passion for restorative movement, Sabrina's loves are her family, gardening, dancing, and the Italian language.
